The Irishman tells the story of Frank Sheeran, a mafia hitman and a World War II veteran who honed his skills while on service in Italy. In his old age, he recounted various incidents that established his career as a hitman, especially his involvement in the abduction of labor activist Jimmy Hoffa, his best friend, and his relationship with the Bufalino mafia family.
